This design comes from a historical internationalist solidarity poster about Chile, which I have carefully restored and recolored by hand in order to preserve this interesting piece of history. The original poster was made in 1976 by Ernesto García Peña, in Havana, for OSPAAAL (Organization of Solidarity with the People of Asia, Africa and Latin America.) The original title of the work is: "El pueblo chileno aplastará al fascismo" or “The Chilean People Will Smash Fascism” which may be derived from a quote by Fidel Castro during a solidarity speech.
Historically, the poster sits in the aftermath of the 11 September 1973 coup in Chile, when the armed forces overthrew socialist President Salvador Allende (the subject of the poster, who wielded an AK rifle given to him by Castro to defend himself during the coup) and established a military dictatorship. The resulting dictatorship killed or 'forcibly disappeared' thousands of Chileans.
Sticker material is a heavy-duty vinyl (95µ density) and will survive heavier use, both indoors and outdoors, than one made of paper.
